I was singled out for smoking a cigar, but yet allowed cigarettes smoking. I was told that cigars and weed smoking is outside in the parking lot.
I dont smoke weed. Although the area where customers smoke there cigarettes are acceptable.
The area was saturated with cigarette butts. My last night stay was not pleasant at all

On April 4, I rented a mini suite in Auburn, California, and much to my dismay, the room was filthy. I have several photos showcasing how disheveled the room was, from the curtains being extremely stained with fingerprints and whatever else.
Upon this, the shower was not properly cleaned, with there still being hair in the tub as well as loose string from a female hygiene product, as well as a broken toilet seat.
This is quite embarrassing to have to send this, but I was not satisfied with my room after spending over $180 out of pocket. This room was not worth the money; I am extremely dissatisfied.

New hires overcharged my card. The manager thinks I'm trying to cheat them.
I have proof in my account that they did not refund my money.
The new hires didn't know what they were doing was place there along ..
one only work 1 night with some one , the other one . Was her first night .

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
When I brought it to the manager's attention, she told me that the concern was between them and it had nothing to do with me?!
You're supposed to feel safe at a motel or hotel and I felt completely vulnerable and unsure if I could even sleep. Which I did not.
I would also like to add that I tried to review them at the place that I reserved the room which was hotels.com and they refuse to let me post a review and they're not doing anything about it either.

Made a reservation w/ Red Lion in Yakima WA not realizing there were 2
RED Lions in the town. We assumed the hotel was next to the convention center.
The Red Lion adjacent to the
Convention center said we were
not on the register there, but we'd reserved the 3 nights at a R.Lion some distance away from the convention center we drove to that motel
to inquire. The location of that R.Lion motel was surrounded with homeless people and people on drugs.We were Horrified to think of spending the night in that motel with broken windows and run-down surroundings!! We wouldn't even want our car parked in the parking lot.When I called the online number to cancel our 3 night reservation they told me it was too late to cancel.
We are VERY DISSATISFIED with Red Lion Hotel/Motel Service and want a REFUND for our reserved 3 nights at the Red Lion on N 1st St in Yakima, WA under the name Howard Elmer for March 27,28& 29th 2025. Thank you for your attention and we desire to be appropriately compensated.

Holy man Im a pain Customer and it is winter time in North Dakota. The hotel has cameras seen me washing my jacket when the jacket was done, pulled it out the left sleeve arm ripped all the way up to the shoulder under the left shoulder pocket ripped and it is a snowmobile jacket $235 jacket.
I mean you guys would charge me if I damaged anything in the room for the TV? For instance the manager here is very rude. I asked him to talk to his boss and he said theres nothing we could do and he didnt wanna give me his bosses number. He said I am Im the Boss its getting me very mad as it is a nice jacket.
The best jacket I ever had. I got videos of it too.
Preferred solution: At least my money back for tonight and One free night, so I’ll check out on the 18th

I have stayed at Red Lion several times. It seems like every other time it takes forever for my deposits to come back, even though every time it's the same account used.

I had prior experience with this place and I accidentally booked it this time. I decided I would stay another night since I barely slept the first night because it smelled like a dirty locker room or a truck stop.
I would highly recommend staying at either StG Inn and Suites or the Howard Johnson. They are about the same price range and are so, so much better.

I still haven't received my deposit back from my stay after 9 days. And now 9 days later they are saying that they are missing 2 Pillow's .
And there were only 2 Pillow's in the room when I checked in .
I don't need two take any pillows but I do need
Now it's been 13 day and still nothing.make sure you pay in cash. And make one of them go to the room with you

The guy was very respectful and knowledgeable seems to be sincere I didn't like how long he said it could take . Because I need my money.

First room I went into. I found nasty *** hair all over the place specially up by the dryer.
The couch was black and I was paying $200 a night for a king size room. They moved me to the handicap room and I walked through the door and there is more stuff.
I have pictures of it all. I want a discount and the front counter refuses to do it and Im late for a wedding now.

Most hotels have that metal latch that prevents anyone with a key from just walking in. A lot of regular travelers purchase hotel door jammers (I don't know the actual name) from amazon and that prevents staff and/or others from just walking in.
And so you know- most hotels do not allow check in until 3 in the afternoon, with that being said Red Lion was the only place that I could find that allowed me to check in at 4 a.m., and they charged me an early check in fee of $50 dollars. La Quinta did not have hot water and there were no other hotels with a pet friendly room.
Most hotels will allow early check-in IF they have availability of your room type and if you are willing to pay an early check-in fee. Many people expect to check in hours before check-in when there is no availability at all and it is literally impossible to put them somewhere.
YOU STAYED, so you should pay. If you were really that concerned you should have left.
If you cannot afford a hotel room sleep in a homeless shelter, or on the streets. You get no refund for staying the night.

What in the world gave you such an idea??! The day of that incident I was dealing at home with a mouse infestation in the barn, there was a windstorm and all of the power on Butler market went out! Had you read all of the review you might of seen that I didn't say a lot of negative things, however I am going to guess that you are probably a friend of the manager that advised me that his walking into my room and standing there deserved no explanation and treated me as if I had done something wrong.
Clearly I wasn't charged for anything so they were way out of line. You are ridiculous.

The fact that you stayed and wanted a refund shows that you can't afford to pay for the hotel. Really immature that you gave me a thumbs down because I hurt your feelings.
I am going this guess that "Ewell" is NOT friends with the manager. This is an international public review and complaint site for anyone in the world to write about any company they want to.
If you click on Ewell's name, you will see this person has responded to many others regarding their complaints and reviews of a variety of different companies. What are the odds this person is friends with employees of companies all across the U.S.?
Zero to none! Usually, review writers accuse anyone who responds to them as working for that company, so "they must be friends with the manager" is a new one.
